Supernatural: Stages of Belief

Claire Novak disappears, one night in September, from a quiet suburb in Pontiac, Illinois. It’s a case that baffles the detectives as much as it terrifies the community, spreads unease and fear. “Who would do something like that?” people ask among themselves, and the “someone should’ve kept a closer eye on her” goes unsaid.

I loved the part in 4.20 where Claire's in the chair and looks up and BAM, it's actually Castiel. So fucking awesome but also mysterious, because you really have to wonder what Castiel said to her to get her to say yes.

This grabbed me deep in the chest and refuses to let go. Oh, Claire. Not insignificant, not at all. :)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh this presses every button i have over and over until i am a weeping mess of feeeeeeeling.

I love this a lot! CASTIEL REASSURING HER SHE'S NOT CRAZY! The Rapture AU! And the interactions with Jimmy!

BUT MOST OF ALL:

Claire reaches up, palm on the man’s forehead and hand splayed out, perhaps searching blindly for her opponents’ eyes. Maybe it’s the quality of the camera, but there seems to be no expression on her face, no regard for the fingers digging into her neck. Then there’s a flash of light, and the video is over, nothing but more static and a faint afterimage.

OH HELL YES. Claire the murder suspect. You are my hero.

I read a commentfic a while back where Castiel becomes a murder suspect when the police find him next to the body of an angel he killed and take him back to the station for questioning when he loses the ability to bamf away. It was absolutely amazing and the only objection I had was that it wasn't ten times longer, and when I saw my prompt, I was immediately like, YES. I MUST WRITE THAT IN.

Anyway. Thank you, and I'm glad you liked!
