2 men in a row on the 6 train started talking to me based on the cover, i think. the first i had a conversation about talking to cats, the second about there being too many parades in san francisco. i don't know. they both asked for my number. then i got off the train and saw a bunch of fliers for the book on the subway steps and it made me feel funny. too many bears.
Having the same sentiments about Miranda July that are mentioned in the first lines of the Gawker things, I was a bit wary about reading Tao Lin with the knowledge that she was backing him up.
There were elements of likable style in that excerpt, but it was so lacking in substance. Sorry, Tao Lin, but now I hate you, too, and I will continue to ignore you and Miranda July.

I am a Tao Lin intern. People were hitting on you? What do you mean?
