Ahaha, um. pieces asked for explanations of the lyrics I apply to the Cityverse icons, and I can't turn down an excuse to ramble and pimp music at people. Though, most of these don't have thoughtful explanations behind them.

The KyuMin extra smut song. Erm. I have lots and lots of thoughts on KyuMin as individuals and their relationship dynamic, most of it consisting of, "They're actually a terribly unbalanced, irresponsible, uncertain couple and separating was the best thing to happen to them." Sungmin lives in the moment; he doesn't want to take the weight of anything else into consideration, to an extent he likes uncertainty. Meanwhile, Kyuhyun's the one left to think about the future, but he knows Sungmin well enough to not make a big deal out of it. The insecurity only builds. They're both kind of stupid, but not quite hopeless because they're my faaaavorite pairing. Also, I really love Kate Havnevik. ♥

This is one of my favorite songs. The last line doesn't fit in the text box, but it's the best part of the lyrics. Actually, no I can't pick only one line, I love the whole thing. "And if I need you more than is sane, let that be the case." And why yes, I do associate it with KyuMin for the purposes of Cityverse. *biased, so what*

I needed sexy lyrics for sexy Shiwon. ...Honestly, that's all I got. If you bend your brain some, you could make it a Shiwon/Kibum song, but the thought ("I'm not like all the other girls-") cracks me up a little.

i am the storm, i am the wonder, and the flashlights, nightmares, and sudden explosions
This song kind of kicks ass. Hunter!Heechul also kicks ass. I don't know what else to say that won't spoil his role... He was pretty good friends with Kangin and Leeteuk - I mean, they spent Christmas together and helped each other with missions all the time - but these days he's on his own, and has his own agenda. He hasn't taken a new partner since Jay died, and Miranda is...less than pleased with him, lately. Not like he cares.
Aria (feat. Mediaeval Babes) // Delerium
this shadow in the likeness of this world and yesterday
#6 was originally going to be titled from this song's lyrics, but then the entire concept of KRY changed. They were supposed to be normal classmates, with Yesung and Ryeowook getting caught up with the vampires by accident. It would have been your typical "omg vampires exist" thing, which is kind of lame. XD; But the lyrics go well with that theme: "ever since I could remember, I have known that children, by candle light, have seen a shadow on the wall and have chased it all night through."

Way back when I'd just started writing Cityverse and Sy helped come up with the KangTeuk backstory, this was a Leeteuk song. Mostly for the, "nothing comes easily, fill this empty space / nothing is like it was, turn my grief to grace." I'm not sure if it still applies. I had absolutely no handle on Leeteuk back then.
New Day // Kate Havnevik
the sky is lit up, day will be richer than night, so don't think of yesterday
I am excited for Hankyung finally being in the story soon. That is all.

Y halo thar, traumatized!Teuk. This song is intense. ...Although, I guess you won't get all of the intensity until you know the full story. :x Not for a while though, we're staying away from backstory right now.

Guh, I need to give Kibum more attention in Cityverse. This is pretty much a great Strings Attached song: "be a perfectionist / you're nothing if you're just another / something material / this isn't personal." I have some trouble explaining Shiwon and Kibum, though. Kibum wants to see the relationship rationally, but it just isn't rational. XD So then he's like, "All right, it doesn't exist, nothing to it." But Shiwon will disagree.
Maybe Tomorrow is a Better Day // Poets of the Fall
i do not deal the cards and i play a lousy hand ... against all this i contrast you, when all is lost the war is through
There are a lot of things that make this song an absolutely amazing Kangin (and KangTeuk) song, but then there are some details that I nitpick over and prevent me from waving it around. But I think the general feel works. It's not depressing, which I think is important. It would be easy - and also really lame - to milk the angst for all its worth, but I hate gratuitous angst and hunters are supposed to kick ass, not wallow in misery. Ditto with the vamps. Let's avoid the "omg I must hurt others to survive I am a monster woooeee."

it's safe to say i'm lonely now, a place called home is just a memory away
This song was suggested by Bry, and thus introduced me to the band. :D; You might notice that uh, I like them a lot now.

I desperately wanted a Shindong icon (ideally, I'd have one for everybody, but I'm picky), and of course he needed suitable lyrics. SD's role is another thing Sy takes all the credit for, and one day he will actually appear in the story instead of being a voice over the phone. XD He might possibly be brandishing a shotgun when he appears.

I can never seem to find or make a Donghae icon that I'm completely satisfied with. This is the closest I've found, and I didn't put much effort into the lyrics part. Clearly.
