My dad's a veteran. He gets the day off today because of it.

Give your dad a hug from me! I didn't know he was a veteran. He deserves more than the day off, but at least he can kick back and relax.

I will hug him for you. He got drafted during Vietnam, but he was sent to Korea instead. Yes, email me! We need to call you sometime soon.

Yours is a wonderful tribute. As grateful as I am to the veterans of multiple countries, every year I face the day with the wish that I will see a day when we face a future that will not create more of them.
