:'( Sorry to hear about your wedding trepidations. Especially involving your mother-in-law to be. As far as the financial aspect you shouldn't feel pressured. They may be able to afford more or have the budget to blow more but that doesn't mean you need to try and out do them ^^; Its probably a better accomplishment to spend only what you really need to make a nice wedding rather than get superfluous with your spending. Everything will turn out lovely :)

really, though, your wedding should be about you and Den.. and whatever budget you work with. it must be hard to feel like there's a competition going on... but, maybe focus on the pair of you and let frilly details fall aside.. make it the day for your love and anybody who wants to be there to witness your exchange. that's all that is going to matter when you look back on your day... how you two felt and if you had fun.

i hope you and his mom have a chance to clear the air, but if not.. hey.
