Never mind that Senator Kennedy is the champion of abolishing a key Constitutional right- in fact, the *only* right that safeguards the rest of the others.
Without a robust second amendment, a tyrranical government can run roughshod over the rights of its citizenry. If you support Kennedy, you only have yourself to blame for Bush's excesses.

And what incentive does a politician have to repeal a law that's designed to make it easier to spy on citizens? The current "hearings" on Capitol Hill are just whitewash. Carnivore? TIA? They're gone, right?

In the current age of information I have trouble believing that the only thing safeguarding our rights as independent citizens is the right to carry a gun, which in all likelihood will never come anywhere near the people limiting your rights.
