Emmett was never one to ignore a cryptic message, especially one that sounded dirty so as soon as he was finished terrorizing Ears at the picnic he headed up to the MCA.

As he walked up to the door he wondered if this was the kind of surprise where he should knock or break down the door.

Luckily for Jasper, Emmett went with knocking.

Jasper would appreciate the decision that would avoid having to bring up an issue with the landlord on his first day here.

Taking a moment to consider that probably no one else would bother coming to this apartment today, as well as registering certain feelings in the air that he might attribute to someone with a bearish personality, Jasper felt pretty confident in his assumption of who was behind the door when he opened it.

There was no pause between saying that and going in for a giant "pick you up off the ground" hug. That was just how Emmett rolled.

And no matter how much Jasper expected that would have been Emmett's response, it still didn't fail to get a little struggling grunt out of him at just how hard he could squeeze. And Jasper'd dealt with some pretty rough vampires before...
