My Beautiful Mountains...

Jul 06, 2011 20:15

Landed back in sunny/rainy/sunny (repeat ad infinitum) England on Saturday. Cats have been released from kitty prison, the laundry is done, the rosti is in the cupboard and I need a new pair of walking boots because I've literally worn through the soles on my old ones. Had a wonderful holiday but I think we might need a holiday to recover from it ( Read more... )

We had a lovely time. I even went jogging twice! I think other people's ideas of relaxation might be somewhat different to mine ;-)

So, the little cloud of dust the Swiss saw zooming up and down their mountains must have been you then. ;-)

Why am I not surprised that you killed your hiking boots?

On another note, I spent last night going through old DTAs with a friend who was staying over, and we laughed like drains for hours.

See you soon honey. Mouah.

Heh, it probably was! Was there a second, slightly slower cloud of dust tagging behind and whimpering? (Cos that would've been Cat!)

I think my boots were on the critical list before we headed out there. They're DNR now. Poor little things.

Awww, I haven't opened a DTA in years! They were always fabulous fun. I still have them all under the bed...

Oh wow, what a breathtaking view. I can't even imagine standing there. I think I would feel overwhelmed by nature. It sounds like you had an incredible (and exhausting) holiday!

Hey you! :-)

We had a wonderful holiday - seems like an age ago now, I had one day off when we got back and then straight back on shift. I think mountains give you a very healthy sense of perspective. The North Face of the Eiger is about a mile, straight up, it's the most amazing thing to sit and look at.
