YAY! Now, if that is not good news!
*bounces*
What an encouraging prize, which I feel will spurn you on.
*taps feet and waits for new novel*

Your better half will mention this to a wider audience, I hope?

My better half has already tooted the news to the rest of her shipmates, who have all been very sweet. As are you and your dancing penguins.

New story is at 80,000 words and creeping towards its conclusion. Apparently, I have to send it to the BSB boss when I'm happy with it which is making me very nervous indeed!

We are easily thrilled to hear of other writers' success.

Oh, that sounds great. Isn't it a matter of appreciation that you are asked to send your new story to The Boss? I will be looking forward to reading it.

To be honest, I have no idea what sending it to the boss means! I never asked about the submission process for authors they'd already signed up. I'm sure she's got a shredder ;-)

Oh excellent (finally getting your damn copy not the germs!) I'm really glad you enjoyed it having waited so long to get your hands on it. I guess there's something to be said for the immediacy of an e-book!

Goddamn! Not only do I know a PUBLISHED novelist, now I know an award winning novelist. They really couldn't have made a better selection because we all know what a pleasure the book is to read. And I couldn't be happier for you nor prouder of you. You deserve it.

*laughs* Ms Ferox insists on referring to me as "the award winning author Cari Hunter." As in "And what would the award winning author Cari Hunter like for her tea?" I can't see her giving it up any time soon!

And thank you, you're very sweet :-) lj is far too quiet at the moment. Damn hiatus. I miss hanging out!

Well, since I'm only good for <3K words a year (in a story obviously-I'm quite blabby when it comes to comments), may I suggest YOU write a story to put on LJ to liven things up. I'm not due for another 10 months or so.

Oh surely I'm not due till the new season! This fandom seems to die on its arse in the downtime so there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of point writing! I think there's only crackfic.net that keeps on going...and going...it's like a fucking terminator that place, it absolutely will not stop until the depths of depravity have been well and truly plumbed ;-)

*virtual high five*

"Award winning author Cari Hunter" has a nice ring to it. Congrats! And well deserved. Add me to the list that's happy to hear that novel #2 is heading to the finish line.

However, if you need an ego boost and some instant gratification, you could always post a short fic for your adoring fans... Just a thought. I would be happy to read and offer glowing comments. :-) 2012 has been quite a challenge around here so far, so I'm looking for bright spots wherever I can find them. I've found some good ones under your name, so here I am... waiting... hoping... no pressure... ;-)

Hey there! Thanks for the good wishes :-)

I hope 2012 is settling down some for you. I will admit, I found S2 of R&I such a battle to get through that the fic inspiration seems to have dried up. They are always fun to write though so I will never say never!
