ETA: I'm moving this to the top of my journal since all my fic is locked now. Those of you who have seen it before may ignore this post.
I've seen people post stuff about their friending policies, but I don't really have one. I do, however, have a policy about posts that are flocked.
Personal posts that are about something really traumatic, or where I am whiny, will usually be f-locked. If you have been following this journal very long you will know that I don't make a whole lot of these. Mostly I post fic, which brings us to the next point...
At this point I'm locking all my fiction.
If a story is going to be professionally published, then I will post it to my audience filter [People on this filter are laughing at me right now because it has been so fucking long since I posted anything here, but the policy still exists. :-) ]
I also have a filter for children's stories - strangely this one is getting the most action lately.
To get on my f-list, you pretty much have to let me know you are interested, because I am piss poor at keeping up with who has me friended or defriended or whatever. I know there are people out there that are very diligent in keeping up with this, but I look at my f-list about once every three months, and if I don't recognize a name, I will just skip over it. So let me know if you want on and mention that you are over 18 (if youa re, that is, if you aren't, sorry, but you need o come back when you are!). I'll probably check your info for indications that you know what you are getting into (slash, graphic sex, sometimes violence - although not that much, tolerance of differing opinions).
So, that's about it. Not hard, but since I've had a few people ask recently, I thought I should make a post about it.
:-)
