I may have mentioned this before, but while in China, I picked up a pretty nifty propaganda poster from probably the 1960's. There is an image here for the curious. On the second ordering, I know all the meanings except the first, and second from the last. What are those? o.O

The first one, 晖, means bright or radiant. The next to last, 蓉, means lotus. At least, that is what my dictionary tells me. My guess is that you actually DO know them, but they are simplified characters that are either still using their traditional or alternate simplifications for Japanese. The traditional variant for the first one is 暉. Not seeing any other variants on the second one, so maybe it is just rarely used?

One of my favorite phrases learned while in China is "闭嘴". I think it applies here. And to pretty much everything else you say =D
