Pop stars re-recording their stuff for foreign-language markets is actually a long-standing tradition

As bad as the Japanese chants are in that Avril video, the Chinese (Mandarin) one is HILARIOUS! (Especially since it's so obvious that they had to digitally speed her up since she couldn't keep up with the words.
