1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Started working in a field that actually utilizes my academic backgrounds, got 2 promotions (kind of) within the span of a couple of months, date the same guy for 3+ years.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions, except for maybe reading 50 books and watching 100 movies within a year, but I've yet to achieve either goal. (same as last year :P ) Also, try to be more active and lose some weight, I guess.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no.

5. What countries did you visit?
South Korea, Japan, Mexico, Austria, Germany, and technically the Netherlands (layover between flights in Europe).

6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
No more debts (or most of my debts largely paid off and some sort of pension plan set up (same as last year). Also, maybe an engagement ring? ;P

7. What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 5th was when I started working at my current work place. It's the first work place that I was able to make a move upwards in.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting promoted to my current position (program administrator).

9. What was your biggest failure?
Though I'm still not sure what the particulars are to it, probably losing my job at the dermatology clinic earlier in the year.

Blah, I have the weakest immune system ever. Once again, I'm battling a cold.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 mirrorless camera in Korea. At a bargain, too! Quickly doing a search for it on Amazon shows that the current going price for this baby is almost $1700USD!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
A change this year! I would say Ethan's parents since they've been very nice to me as well as inviting. I guess my sister would count here as well, at times? ;P

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Thankfully, I didn't have much exposure to poisonous people in 2012 as I can't name a person who deserves this title.

Bills, food, transportation. This doesn't really ever change.

That stupid Call Me, Maybe song.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Worked out more. I would still like to run a 10k sometime soon. (same as last year). Also, saved more money.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Waste money and time. (same as last year)

20. How will you be spending the holidays?
I spent Christmas eve with my family and Ethan. We had dinner at an Argentine restaurant in Jackson Heights, then traded gifts at my parents' place, then sang karaoke at a nearby karaoke bar in Flushing. On Christmas day, I went to see Les Miserables with Ethan and his family, then had Asian food in a sort-of close by Asian eatery. For New Year's Eve, I worked during the day, had a few friends over for a mellow celebration, which was then "crashed" by Ethan and a bunch of his friends who decided to leave a lame warehouse party in Bushwick. Earlier today, Ethan and I met up with my family to have traditional Korean food.

Lock the doors, tight!
Let's have a kiki, mother fucker
