Right now the file comes out at 346 single-spaced pages - which isn't bad compared to say, your average Steven King book which runs about twice that. There's still a couple of major hunks of story to put into the manuscript itself - some of it I'm working on in separate Word files, and some of it is a list of scenes that I plan on writing.

When do you project that it'll be finished?

This first draft I am hoping to finish before summer ends, and I am shooting for finishing it by the end of July. After that, I let the manuscript sit for a week, start looking for agents, and start work on the second draft, which will involve saving a copy the finished first draft file under a slightly different file name (OK, adding the words 'second draft' to the end of the original file name) before making any corrections/changes/etc.
