This Week's History Lesson, as Narrated by ES, age 4
There was a king, and he had a dead body, which was his dad. He buried it in a big, big pyramid. The little tiny pyramids next door were for the dead king's wives. In a while there will be a new king and he will also make a pyramid for a dead body. This was in Egypt where there are crocodiles in the river. -
There are parachutes!
ES: I want to have a sleepover with Grandmommy tomorrow.
Me: Sweetheart, Grandmommy lives too far away to have a sleepover tomorrow. We have to drive all day to get to Grandmommy.
ES: Oh. (pause) But there are parachutes! We can use parachutes and FALL from the SKY to Grandmommy's house! -

If you move the dining room table out from under the chandelier in order to spot clean and mop the floor that is usually under said table...
...you WILL at some point during the mopping process smack the back of your head on said chandelier.

Dinner -- Cheeseburgers with Fries and Veggies for dipping (and leftover green beans from last night)
Local content: The lettuce and tomatoes on the burgers (for people who had lettuce and/or tomatoes) and the cucumbers for dipping were from the local sources previously mentioned for them.
