Hmm. I think I've seen those stink bugs in my yard. At least you've got some around so they can get to work on the potato bugs. Is there some sort of crazy companion planting that can help with this stuff or do you just have to suffer through it and hope nature will even things out enough for some of the plants to live?

The potatoes seem to be doing OK, and so far, removing the beetles by hand seems to be controlling them. I have not planted so many potatoes that going row by row, plant by plant is unmanageable. It's time-consuming, but not too bad.

I'm also going to release some mantises and see how they do on the beetles.

I was just gonna suggest mantises. Good thinking.

We have stick bugs around our office building. the get into the cars and the building air ducks.
Maybe this is a prime environment for them: Older Oak forest around here, lots of ivy planing beds around the building and parking lot.

Bugs suck! Aliens ate my BuickEarwigs ate my bean plants. Almost nothing gets rid of them except for poison, which I do not wish to use on my food.
