Aw, thanks! Wish I'd been better prepared... but when I think about it, I'm not sure I COULD have been better prepared for this one without having a few dozen under my belt. Eh well. This is the first of the few dozen, I guess.

I sure hope so! This little dude couldn't decide whether he was too deep under anesthesia (no muscle tone at all, when he should have some; very low blood pressure) or whether he was too light and we shouldn't be doing surgery (heart rate perfectly fine for an awake dog, had a "withdrawal reflex" muscle-pull when we pinched between his toes). Little stinker. At least he DIDN'T wake up on the table and DID wake up after. That's the big part, I guess.

Aw, thanks! Right now I'm not feeling amazingly proud of me, but hey... this one got through surgery with no ill effects and I'm learning every day. Some day I'll know better what to do in awkward anesthesia situations.
