Exactly! :) :) (Ectopic means, as best I can make out, "where it's not supposed to be". She has little teeny bits of spleen where they're not supposed to be. Usually that's because there was an injury before, and cells broke free, and they got stuck elsewhere in the vessels and made little tiny spleenlike lumps. Her spleen did indeed have a big ugly scar on it.)
Yes indeed! Terrified -- someone's going to do a lot of slow patient work if she's ever going to be comfortable around dogs -- but utterly sweet, and in a single-dog house she could be happy as a clam right now, fetching sticks and washing people's faces.
And huge thanks to the behaviorist/trainer who's been working with her. I can only imagine how terrified and reactive this girl was when she first arrived at the shelter. That person is an angel.
