My weekend was very boring, the highlight being getting to go to Dollar General and buy household stuff. D is driving me crazy being at home, he hogs the TV, we have two and he plays remote tag with both of them. My sons stopped by on their way back to DC, looking for food and then they were gone. Yes they are, I love his series and think he is or was the best of his genre. I feel good to be smoking less, will be happier when I can quit completely, but I'm taking your Mom's advice and taking it easy with small changes over periods of time:0

On the weight thing, I think eating several small snacks as opposed to going right back to eating large meals might help. Drink lots of water too, that will help you feel full and you might not be inclined to eat as much. I have definitely noticed a big change in my energy level since I started trying to drink more water.

I would be careful with anything that claims to boost your metabolism. I've heard that eating small meals more frequently helps. I've also heard that drinking more water helps. Most of the supplements I know of that claim to boost metabolism also affect things like heart rate and blood pressure and that isn't always a good thing.

That is what worried me too; I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, so I want to be careful. The weight thing is hard because I want to be able to walk and the more weight I carry the worse it gets
