I entered my first Texas Hold'em poker tornament the other night. And after nearly three hours of play I managed to finish 14th out of 134 entrants. Then I was asked to deal for the final table. That's about it for the moment I suppose *hugs to all*

Had to get my Class 1 medical renewed for work this morning, and since my normal doctor was out of town I had to go to a backup doctor, not that there's anything wrong with that mind, so after a half hour of poking, proding, being asked to read this chart and that chart, and having a bright light shone in my eye I have my medical extended for two ( Read more... )

There is something to be said for being a pilot in a place like south east Queensland. Today my job was to fly a Cessna 182 four seat aircraft from Maroochy to Noosa and pick up three passengers, then fly them to Rainbow Beach and wait for them to due stuff for an hour or so. Let it be known that this wuff hates having to do his taxes. Made a bit worse by the fact that he let his logging of stuff get behind for several months. Oh well I have to get them all done before my accountant arrives on Wed.

Yesterday and today both having major cancelations due to the weather. So from 8 til 5 the last two days have seen alot of cleaning and doing paperwork. Listening to liveatc.net is the only thing that keeps days like this from being exceedingly boring.
