Itunes rant.

Not that much up lately. It's a nice, lazy weekend so I'm just relaxing. Been spending the last few nights trying to get itunes working with my new toy. I'll say it plain:

Itunes is the worst software I've used in the last three years.

It's the slowest, crashes the most, and doesn't do what you think it would do.

It's bad when freaking

Why did you get an I-Pod? Doesn't seem like something you would do. You usually go for an off-brand instead of a highly marketed very popular but not the best brand.

Which Ipod did you get? You said Flash - it's still the mini Hitachi hard-drive, isn't it?

Nope, it's flash now. The 8 gig nano - the black one. I"m not going for another hdd based one, I wanted one that I could touch while it was playing without worrying about sending an arm through the platter.

Why an ipod though? I was needing a new one with bigger storage anyway. I needed better battery life. The cube didn't store enough or last all day. Popularity has side effects - support for third party options being the best of them. Car integration is important and easy to find. The price was reasonable, and the controls on the unit itself are still the best. Also, I had one before and it was fine until the battery and hdd died. (Plus, the 2nd generation of anything is usually the best to get, I think)

I just can't stand itunes is all. I think I figured out one problem though. You can't have it automatically update things if you want it to automatically update things. How intuitive!
