I just had the most amazing experience. We went for the ten pm feeding tonight, so that we could bottle feed. Her nurse tonight is a lactation consultant.  We breast fed tonight. She took approximately an ounce, based on how much she left in the bottle they gave her afterwards. (she usually downs her bottle in 10 minutes flat and drinks it dry) Her

the nurse/LC told me she works the same shift the next three days and If I can come up there as often as possible, she'll work with me every time.

I thought you'd be proud of that. :) And she didn't seem to want the bottle near as much after having been at the breast. It was great! I want to try to be up there as much as is humanly possible once her feedings are all by mouth because the more I'm there, the more I get to breastfeed. The nurse says, come often, come in a button down, and leave my bra in the car. Kangarooing and breastfeeding are in our future ALOT. She doesn't seem to have any issues with nipple vs. breast...we'll see.

was hoping to get pictures today. *sigh* doesn't look like it's gonna happen. may see if the inlaws will let us borrow the digital camera for the 10 pm tonight.
