Agree that Jesus wasn't born in December, and the tree, wreaths, trappings, holiday trimmings, etc., are just things humans do. However, Christmas IS a Christian holiday, as connoted by the word itself. Yule, perhaps or the Winter Solstice would be more appropriate for this time of year for those who do not follow Christianity. Originally, Christmas itself was not celebrated in December anyway, it was later moved and moved and moved both by Roman caesars and the early Church to coincide with pre-Christian holidays and traditions, to where it is stuck today.

In the razzle-dazzle of the modern world, it is very easy to lose the true spirit and meaning of Christmas. It's not about obligated gift giving, music, decorations, Santa Claus and shopping anyway, that is all just commercial propaganda. Take away all these, it is still possible to have Christmas. Humans truly are idiots, if we begin to do things, such as celebrate Christmas, without fully understanding the reason behind it. It would just be going through the motions.
