1) between 2.26GHz and 2.53GHz, the speed difference in negligible, there will not be any noticeable difference in user experience.
2) are you a heavy user? what applications are you mostly likely to run? 2GB of RAM is more than good enough for an average user. if you're a gamer, 2GB of RAM should be decent, unless you're a serious gamer, i would suggest you go for 4GB. if you intend to run design softwares for school, 2GB is decent too. 4GB might be an overkill for normal usage.
if what you need is just the internet, office, msn, itunes, 2GB is good enough to run those applications simultaneously! no need to be greedy and upgrade to 4GB! 2.26GHz and 2GB ram would be more than sufficient for your usage. (unless you have many $$$ to spam...)
if i purchase from online, it doesn't come with microsoft office or adobe reader. if i purchase from online with macoffice as add on, the cost will be higher.

i am not a gamer. basically, i only need internet, microsoft office, msn and itunes.
on certain days my usage may be higher, runnig itunes,a few internet and msn applications concurrently.
so you would suggest 2.26GHz and just 2GB of RAM?

the question is whether there is a need to upgrade to 4GB RAM. still unsure about that.
