since my biology module is an open book exam , it would be best for me to purchase a textbook.
(i don't really like the idea of buying textbooks unless that subject is my major)
i went to visit the second hand book forum.
i messaged a guy, secured the deal and he asked me to meet him at the deck on tuesday.

me: "where's the deck?"

(well done; the secondhand book forum's a great resource, esp. for books that you don't ever want to have after you're done with the module. Alternatively, hunt the copies down in the library and photostat the whole book at Peace Centre (dhoby ghaut) or maybe YIH. I am usually in the Central Lib photocopying books -- but if you opt for this photostating you should check if the exam allows photostated texts. frozenfreeze was also asking about a Clementi Book Store which is quite famous for scholastic texts; you might want to try there for others.) g'luck for your first year.
