i don't know if self-respect comes hand-in-hand with intelligence. i know plenty of girls who are smart but all it takes is some guy to psychologically manipulate them and their legs don't see one another for hours. i think sometimes intelligent ppl can be manipulated, but i think i understand what you are saying.
