Lots to think about with this chapter. I can understand how Orlando feels, making things right must feel daunting when he has screwed up so spectacularly. But I'm glad Sean was there to set him straight about talking to Harry and Karl, in their own way they are doing what Orlando did to them and running away - at least that's how it seems to me.

Hopefully, when he gets home, they can clear the air a little more. Great to see another chapter and so soon after the last!

Orlando definitely owes Sean a drink, on that we can all agree. *g* Someone had to shake Orlando out of his slump & get him back on track.

I liked the meeting. I think it gave Orlando an appreciation for the gift he had been given without permission and how big a decision that really is. I'm glad Orlando had Sean to talk things through with and I can't wait to see what happens when he talks to Karl and Harry.

We definitely wanted to show that getting the Gift wasn't an easy process & that a lot of care & thought went into who got it & why it was such a big deal that neither Harry nor Orlando (the first time) had a full Council vote or vetting process. So we're thrilled that part worked for you!!!

And Sean really is a godsend. :)

I have to shift back to Orlando's side. He came home and accepted a sort of exile in his own home but enough is enough. Karl and Harry have to give him a clue. Thank goodness for Sean or Orlando would probably stay in the west wing until he was old and grey. Of course he would be insane too.

Ah, see, but that's part of Orlando's problem, isn't it. He's been doing far too much retreating & NOT actually going out & shaping his own destiny. But we can all agree that this talk with Sean was long overdue. (As is the conversation with Harry & Karl. *g*)

Yeah, it's a slow as hell process, but he's getting there. Thank God he's got great friends to give him a swift kick in the arse when he needs it. ;)

It always makes me happy to see a new chapter, and this one was really great. Very full of information, and delving into problems and feelings, very meaty, very compelling. Will be wondering what happens next for Orlando!
