There's a building on the corner where I get off the freeway that's been falling apart for years. I took this photo of it in January 2006:




As may be seen in this photo, the corner of the building over the door is starting to come out. Here's a close-up:




By the time I'd taken this photo, I'd already been waiting for those concrete blocks to fall for nearly 2 years. So, last Thursday (September 11) as I was driving to work, I saw that they finally had:




I hope no one was standing underneath when they went. A week later, now, it still looks exactly the same. No one has come to clean up the rubble, not that it's particularly surprising. Notice, though, how someone had painted the building a grey color between 2006 and 2008. Perhaps they wanted a clean "canvas" for the grafitti "artists"...
