Good news: I just joined my school's book club:D We haven't had a meeting yet so I'm not sure if I have to read french books or not... Moving on to the real reason I posted. I wanted to make a list of all the books I currently own and haven't read. Yes, I guess that's kind of sad, seeing as I'm only doing this because I have an uncommon vast amount ( Read more... )

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY!

Read that one first. It's my favorite book. EVER. I'm reading Slaughterhouse Five, but I had to take a break to read The Stranger by Camus for school, and that was absolutely HORRIBLE. But I just finished it, so now I can get back to SH5. Yay!

*puts The Picture of Dorian Gray on the top of the pile* I'll definately read that one for the first meeting :D And please let me know how Slaughterhouse Five was when you're done, I've gotten mixed revues on it ;)

My books for school aren't that bad this year, but they always slow down my non-school reading.:( This year for the first term we're reading Wuthering Heights (yay!!!) the catch: it's the french version. Not that I have anything against french literature, but it's WUTHERING HEIGHTS, one of the greatest books written in the English language...*shakes head*

By the way, how's the book club coming along?

Oooh ok, I'll let you know when I finish. I like it a lot so far!

Yeah, I'm actually pretty excited for most of my school reading this year, but The Stranger was just horrible... I read Wuthering Heights sophomore year! It was really good, but the characters really surprised me...they were like, extreme. Be warned. Heathcliffe is craaazy.

Book Club is going to be awesome! We just started school last week, so I don't know when we'll have our first meeting but it's going to be either about Harry Potter or Eclipse. =]

I read Wuthering Heights in english over the summer... I was wary last year when I heard it was on the list in grade 10 (I've noticed that I tend to like books less if I don't read them outside of school first;D) I LOVE Heathcliff, despite his extreme moments. I was really annoyed with Nelly (I think that was her name(?)) I can't remember the finite details, but I distinctly remember shouting "Mind your own business"(in less polite terms) at my book. Especially when she interfered with Cathy's(junior)romance with Linton (even though I don't ship Cathy/Linton). I just about died with happiness at the end when she and Hareton ended up falling for eachother *grin*

what no. from what i remember she was talking about the hamburger buns and not "his" buns. therefor it cannot be a pun of the same word, you see? i bet you lost sleep over this and it was all in vain. ): i apologize.

yuck bella!

oh and the most interesting thing happened to me the other day whilst screaming at tommy over the phone; i found a book on the public telephone and it has one of the marker things attached. im supposed to read it, have it change my life, post where it's been and leave it somewhere so it can touch another person's life. weird huh? remember that 5 dollar bill i got? where'swilly or wtv. well its like that.
if the book isn't dull im going to read it and leave it by your front porch so your family will adopt its LOVE like i did..sorta. :D
