Spend all this money on social networking, with the state American public schools are in curriculum-wise…

Idiots.

I suppose I should introduce myself, seeing as it’s required: I am Sei. Sei Satou, another of those fresh arrivals from Japan. Pleased to meet you all, I’m sure.

Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I have other things to do.

But the use of social networking tools by the school is a good method of keeping the kids not only in contact with one another and their teachers, but also a means of broadening the student's horizons and learning to interact with those around them in a healthy, adult monitored environment that can help students through such an awkward and debilitating time in their lives!

I think it's cool!

Oh, and I'm Yotsuba Koiwai! Hi!

[Well God aren't you just full of annoying enthusiasm] Except the part where the students will lose out on 'valuable' experience in learning to speak face-to-face with other individuals, eventually becoming unable to socially interact without the use of this crutch, essentially becoming social shut-ins with no hope of a decent career future.

It's idiotic.

But teenagers can't manage something like that to begin with! The racing hormones and confused mind create such a backwards situation when dealing with others face-to-face that it's always going to end badly!

At least this way kids can feel a little more comfortable with conversing with others! Of course, they still have to see one another in school, so it's more like a "break the ice" kind of situation than anything else!

[Why are you still being annoyingly enthusiastic in her direction :|] ... Whatever. You either learn to overcome it or you learn to shut everyone out. This doesn't help a fucking bit.
