Auditions for Beauty and the Beast
Who: All dancers, also Ogiue
What: The audition day is here. Everyone gets to show their stuff.
Where: The gymnasium and surrounding areas
When: Saturday afternoon (Backdated)
Warnings: None I can see.
The barre was out for the dancers to warm up, the marley was batted down properly on their floor, and the air was stuffy in the gymnasium. Perhaps it was because of the bits of squabbling here and there that Fakir had heard about, perhaps it was genuine nervousness that came with auditioning for a soloist part, or perhaps the weather was acting up.
Each dancer would present a one-minute variation, and then those dancers that showed capability the most would be called to do a grand allegro across the floor. From that list, the cast would be chosen, and everyone else would be in corps. Fakir had a page in his notebook for each auditioning dancer; it was about half an hour before the audition would start, but he'd opened the space up to everyone for their preparatory use. How would his dancers fare in a real audition, he wondered...
