**Yoyo crashes through the door, wearing a slick lime-green zoot suit. At his side was the hottest (in his opinion) ninja in the school. It wasn't that he knew any others to compare her too... and then she was still wearing her mask, but still, the girl was pretty fine regardless.**

Welcome, Kyoko... to your first prom.

Kyoko was warning a purple traditional Japanese Kimono, with a flower print on it. She was even wearing the shoes that go with it. She still had her mask on though, but her hair was tired up in a bun. It looks like it would have cost a lot of money, but Kyoko made it herself.

"What a lovely set up."

"Yo, I still don't believe you made that all alone. That's mad hot though." he says, taking her arm around his and entering with a slide-step.

"Of course I made this myself, why would I lie?"

Howell would have preferred to arrive rather fashionably late, but his duty as a chaperon and as Prom Court organizer meant he had to be at prom early.

The dinner with Maggie and her family had gone very well - it seemed that throughout the night Jyushirou had been dying to say something to him, and Howell was almost certain what that something was, so he took great care to never be left alone with the man. Hopefully he wouldn't be pulled aside at prom and given some kind of dire warning.

He watched the students arriving from under the brim of his fedora, looking dashing in his high-waisted twenties-style pinstripe suit.

Maggie's dress matched her hat, but she was much too tall for 1920's fashion. She did not match her dress at all.
Now, doing her duties as a chaperon as well, Maggie patrolled the perimetre of the dance floor, watching for inappropriate actions with her book under her arm. She carried with her a copy of the Triumphal Chariot of Antimony, a book on alchemical processes and philosophy. Now and again she'd glance back at Howell, just for a second.

He couldn't help but wander over to her - she seemed to have wandered off right after dinner, and Howell still didn't want to get the older brother treatment. There was nothing untoward going on here, honestly.

"What's that one then?" he asked, looking over her shoulder.

She smiled a little, the attention making her feel sort of special. "The Triumphal Chariot of Alchemy," she said quietly. "Big Sis let me borrow it from the city library's archives as long as I promised to get it back. It's really interesting to see how science worked way back then." She felt the closeness, the genuine interest that Howell radiated. Of course thouse silly rumours were just rumours, school kids were full of gossip about themselves and others.

"Jushirou is a pretty good cook, right?" she asked. Goodness knows neither she nor either of her sisters could really cook anything more complicated than curry.

Rufus had somehow managed to survive the dinner with Sanae's mothers, and was proudly escorting his date to the prom, dressed in a 3-piece, White zoot suit. It was smartly cut, with a fine pinstripe, and a white gangster fedora to top it off--and he stood with his arm protectively around Sanae as if he would put concrete shoes on anyone else who so much as looked at her the wrong way.

Whether that was because his mothers had instilled the fear of god and womankind in him, or because he was simply the jealous type, now that was anybody's guess. But he'd given his word that Sanae was safe with him, and so, safe she would be. "Would you like some punch, doll?" he asked her, affecting an East-coast accent as he escorted her inside. Best get her the punch early, before anyone had a chance to spike it--or else he'd really have to be vigilant.

Sanae was nervous. Mostly because of the ridiculously expensive gown that she was wearing. She had a sneaking decision that while her mothers picked it out, Rufus had footed the bill. His lips were sealed on the matter though... not that she minded. She felt so beautiful... so much like an ideal woman for him. But it also drew a lot of attention, largely in part due to how... accented her chest was in it. Bother...

"I'd love some, baby," she responded in kind, though it sounded just a tad awkward with her accent. Ah well, it was getting into the spirit of things. It would help her relax.

Sanae looked beautiful. Though he was far too refined to stare, Rufus couldn't help but notice--again--what a nice figure she had.

"That dress is such a lovely color on you," he said as he escorted her to the refreshment table and handed her a glass of punch. "I'm glad I went with the white this time. All the better to show off the lady on my arm."

"Are you really the one showing off here? I'm the lucky gal, remember?" Sanae laughed, relaxing slightly as she leaned up to plant a kiss on his cheek. Upon receiving the punch, she gave it a smell first. Better safe than sorry, after all. It tasted alright as well.

Rude originally had no plans to attend the prom before he heard he was nominated, but here he was, his curiosity of who would be crowned prince and princess keeping him there.

He wondered just who in the hell even nominated him, maybe it was Mona? That seemed like something she would do, if anything to get a reaction out of him maybe. Or it could have even been Miss Euphemia, though if a certain someone found out she did...no he didn't want to think about being fired by Lelouch.

Oh well, he leaned against the wall watching everyone dance, wearing his black zoot suit with light pinstripes and matching fedora. He even had on a pair of vintage looking round lens tinted glasses to complete his 'look' along with his many piercings. Maybe he would feel a dance later on but for now he decided to just enjoy the atmosphere.

Lulu had taken great care in choosing a dress, not wanting any flack for showing too much cleavage, or back, or leg, or having too sleek a silhouette, or making anyone think that she was pregnant. She didn't really have the figure for the flapper look, but she'd finally settled on a simple, black, drop-waist dress with cap sleeves--and had to hope for the best.

She'd debated whether or not she would attend prom this year at all. It was for the students, not the teachers, and she knew she had a habit of detracting and causing a stir whether she meant to or not. But she had promised Jushirou again that she would help chaperon, so attend she did--and she determined not to be bothered by the fact that Howell almost certainly had a date.

Of course he would see her, and of course she would look stunning, and of course he would walk across the dance floor - nudging a few students in well-meaning directions as he did - and tell her so.

"My dear, stunning as always," he said, tipping the brim of his fedora.

For one, fleeting moment as she espied Howell's approach, Lulu considered beating a hasty retreat--but that would have been rather juvenile, and she was after all supposed to be a responsible adult. Besides that, there was a part of her that had been hoping to see him.

She smiled at his greeting, smoothing a hand over her hip. "Oh, this?" she asked, feigning modesty. "I try. You look pretty debonaire yourself. Can you believe it's been a year already since we first met?"

"The time flew by," he said. "I can hardly believe that my second year here is coming to a close." Despite how much he complained about Clairbourn, it was a nice place to work. That added to the fact that he was an ocean away from his relatives made him much more inclined to stay.

Well, and the view wasn't bad either. "Have plans for the summer?"
