Five things I need.

Oct 30, 2009 08:01

1. To cook more delicious food for myself at home.
2. To challenge myself by writing more, and making that writing something meaningful.
3. To be cuddled and nurtured and to learn to ask when I need that to happen.
4. To remember to pay all my bills on time and be a responsible adult.
5. To be less lazy! (See all of the above.)

Um, YES. Damn how I wish you weren't so cat-allergic... There is so much wine that needs drinking and hangouts to be had.

I know that you and I often say we need to see each other more often, so can we actually make a *plan* to do something, say, within the next three weeks?

I know, stupid cat allergies! It's a real social life killer. We can always do stuff together outside -- and I have a car :) The next three weeks are EEEK because I have the Costa Rica trip coming up in two weeks so a lot of ACK CHAOS has been happening.

OK then how about I leave it up to YOU to plan something for after Costa Rica? Maybe Value Village? That could be a lot of fun. But after the weekend of the 25th of November, yeah?

1. This is really hard. I wonder sometimes about getting a bunch of peeps together to something like this!

2. NaNoWriMo!

3. YOU BET.

4. Oh god me too.

5. Do you wanna join the Plant Bath with me and go on swimming dates? My bathing suit is VERY MODEST.

1. I would love to do something like that! But more grass-roots, as in we just come up with the grocery list and recipes ourselves, and spend a whole day just cooking and cleaning and being together and having laughs.
2. Yes yes you talked me into it so I'm doing it even though I have no idea what I'm writing about. I think I'm walking to Sean's to pick him up tonight, maybe if you are home I could borrow that No Plot No Problem book for a quick skim? If you're done with it.
3. YES.
4. Can we come up with a strategy to help each other with this?
5. I would LOVE to go on swimming dates with you but I'm going to probably have to wait until at least after Philadelphia to spend any money, you know? I LOVE SWIMMING EVEN THOUGH I AM TERRIBLE AT IT. I also have a modest swimsuit.

1. I have a giant kitchen and a dishwasher I AM JUST SAYING.

2. I feel both triumphant and guilty about this!

3. YES.

4. I WOULD LOVE TO. I have no idea how!

5. I AM ALSO SO BAD AT SWIMMING. Just last night I was thinking I should maybe learn. Okay after you get back from your trip. It's $40 a month for just swimming.

I know that you have a huge kitchen. I was thinking about that, actually. I was thinking it would be fun if everyone brought a recipe that was a big one (like casseroles, soups, etc.), and the ingredients for doubling it, and a lot of empty containers for freezing portions. Then we could cook all the recipes and then divvy them up among people. I COULD BRING MY LABEL MAKER YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW THAT WOULD PLEASE ME.

Don't feel guilty about NaNoWriMo, I actually am getting a little bit excited about it, although I do not know how I am going to have the time or the energy to crank out 2,000 words a day.

We'll talk strategies tomorrow night.

$40.00 a month is TOTALLY DOABLE after my trip. Maybe before if I sell my car.
