----------------------------------------
The initial part of the ceremony was simple. Take a cursed sword laden in the blood of a sinner and scribe out the symbol of Biblical Hell’s Lord, thirteen feet in diameter. After encompassing it in a circle, refresh the blood on the cursed sword and begin to inscribe the chant of summoning, written in the ancient Aramaic tongue, across the outer circle, and along the lines of the start within. Following this, and another refreshing of the blood across the cursed blade, the sword would be shoved down into the ground, dead center of the large symbol.
The next part was that of the Enchanter Orbs. Two steel orbs especially designed to carry the rest of the sinner’s blood. Containers alone, until the time of use, they were to be opened just enough, so when the summoning dance began, the sinner’s blood could fall to the summoning symbol, and onto the summoner himself. Following opening them, steel chains were attached to them, and connected to the summoner’s hands, one link about each index finger, and the second link about the ring finger. A third link was added, for stability, to the summoner’s thumb. This was a new ritual to him, after all, and he didn’t wish to mess it up.
From there, the ritualistic dance would begin. Though, not so much a dance as walking about the symbol etched on the ground, swinging about the Enchanter Orbs, and chanting out in various languages conjuring phrases, in order to urge the Biblical demon up from her pits in the lower sanctums of the Hell realm.
The dance began at the center point, the young man holding his arms up, parallel to the ground. After two curious jolts of his hands, to cause the orbs to bounce, he began with the right. Two swings overhead, two forward swings to the side, one back, one front. At any normal time, being hit with the red fluid that sloshed from the center slice of the orb would have bothered him, greatly; but this was business, and these things were indeed often quite messy.
Vergil's two companions in this venture, though nearby, were hardly noticed as he worked. Dante, his brother. Sierra, his... ally? It was something he hadn't put much thought to, at all, nor was it the time.
Forward he began to pace, from the center, to the edge, along one of the design's lines; the ground he would cross over began to shimmer in a vibrant red. Once the symbol was completely lit, the beast he was attempting to herald would be due to rise. At the edge of the symbol, he turned and steeped to the ground, twirling the left Enchanter Orb over his head three times, before standing and loping for the next point on the outer ring.
