Anne and Robert Simms. My mom liked Annie and my dad was always Bob.
2. Where are/were they from?
My Mom lived in Queens my Dad lived on Avenue A.
3. How did they meet?
The DMV line. It's a bonding experience, like when people begin to care for their kidnappers.
4. How long were they together before you came along?
Six years.
5. Were you an accident?
I haven't figured that out yet.
6. What did you love most about them growing up?
I loved...when my father was sober. I love my mother's cooking.
7. Did/do your parents fight a lot?
Yes.

I don't think about it, ick.
9. What is the worst argument you ever overheard them having?

10. Were/are they affectionate?
Yeah, if beating the shit out of me on a regular basis is affectionate. My mother was.
11. What is your favorite memory of them?
There was one weekend...which was rare...everyone was happy. My dad was even happy, we actually felt like a normal family for two days. It was really nice.
12. Scenario: You walk into the house and find your parents getting busy on the dining room table. What do you do? What do you think they would do?
Sneak back out and pretend it never happened. I imagine they'd finish whatever they were doing.

Neither.

Since I never brought anyone home, it wasn't an issue.

My father.
