Claire's father Robert Simms was from an Irish family most of whom, including her father were police officers.
Claire's Mother Anne Marie De Luca was from a third generation Italian Immigrant, her family moved to Queens when Anne was 5 years old. The schools were viewed as being superior to those in Manhattan.
