Once upon a time, newspapers contained news... mind you, that was in the days when yesterday would've featured Kenya on the front page of the BBC news website, rather than Princess Diana. Because one death a decade ago is news, while hundreds in the last three weeks in order to supress popular rejection of unfair elections aren't.

What a fuckwit.
Here's hoping he breaks a leg or something, and some jackass gives him a swift kick to 'check if he's faking'.

How ignorant can you get? Christ! I was under the now seemingly delusional impression that people writing for The Times were at least somewhat informed about the subject matter on which they were writing.

"our young people think of disablement as both fashionable and lucrative."

Obviously I find long term illness a trendy thing to boast about amongst my friends or at least I would if I could go out and meet some. Also being broke on the tiny amount paid to me by the state is so lucrative that I never want to go back to work so I can actually earn enough money to actually er live.

What a cretin! I hope he actually does some real research next time he tries to foist off his ridiculous opinions onto the public as fact. God forbid he has to go through the benefits system!

These sorts of comments have been popping up a lot since both Labour and the Conservatives revealed plans for Benefit reforms. The Goverment have really done a number on us, this is exactly the kind of response they want, it's better for them to encourage the idea that 99% of IB claimants are malingering layabouts because that way they can enforce there tougher restrictions without too much public resistance. It's just disgusting that we have to put up with hearing such ill-educated offensive drivel like this being spouted by so-called "journalists" who seem to take great pleasure in picking on the vulnerable people in society.
