I would suggest you try her husband's books Claire- his name is Jonathan Sefran Foer. I find him more bold and exciting. The postmodernism is less about just being there but actually works at solidifying the themes. Although they share some similiarities, particularly the narrator and the hint of magical realism, I must say Krauss works have their own charm, I found them to be too endearing at the end.

I've actually started Everything is Illuminated a few days ago and I just realised TODAY that they're husband and wife. Weird!
