I really liked it. The argument about not trusting the government to run health care is ridiculous. Here the government shells out money to hospitals and sets pretty loose standards they have to meet to get the cash. The hospitals themselves and are essentially private organizations who, once they get the money, decide how it's spent and they set the standards for care. So there's no argument really. I love that people that argue against public health care are apparently so afraid of getting sub-standard care by moving to a public system that they're willing to settle for the status quo of sub-standard and inaccessible care with the current system they have. Not losing anything by switching!
Happy belated Canada Day! Too bad about the weather up there. I spent yesterday going to an MLS soccer game. We were in the chanting supporters section so it was quite the experience. But the Chicago teams colours are red and white so I pretended it was patriotic Canadiana ;)
