what's this about getting 5% interest on security deposit? let me know...

You are supposed to get 5% interest on your security deposit if you paid all your rent on time, if you paid a full month's rent as your security deposit. I read that in the Badger Herald.

is it 5% per year if you rent at the same place for two? and also, is that every renting company??

If you signed your lease before January 2004, you are entitled to 5% simple interest. This should be the same for every landlord.
