This weekend was the 7th annual Darwen Music Live! festival, and it was awesome. The whole thing's free, and is spread throughout the town in various pubs, clubs and outdoor stages over Sunday and Monday of Spring Bank Holiday weekend. I read a review last night of the Arctic Monkeys' album, 'Whatever Poeple Say I am, That's What I'm Not', which illustrated beautifully the fact that this band, more than any other I've come across, divide two generations. My parents, and anyone I know over about 35, certainly 40, hate the Arctic Monkeys. We love them. The CD itself falls just ( Read more... )
