Special Annoucement
This is a special announcement! I have decided to add two new categories to both my icontests starting in October, that's this upcoming week's challenge.
SUBMITTER OF THE MONTH
** Just leave a screened comment at this post with your choice of theme, be it conceptual, technical, image or text based. Please avoid repeating any themes that have already been done in the past. You may still enter that week.
*** This will be based on/in order of your actual vote, unless all three selected icons happen to place in which case you can just comment on the results post with your choice. We need at least eight entries to award this category. You cannot choose yourself.
The reason I am doing this is because lately submission and voter participation has slowly been decreasing and I am hoping that this could be a fun way to encourage existing members to once again become more active in these areas by giving them the chance to be rewarded for their efforts in addition to or where normally they may not be. The results will be based on chance, but obviously the more times you submit/vote, the more ballots you earn and the better your odds of winning.
Aside from this I am also trying to keep the themes more varied between different types of challenges. Advertising may also help bring in new members, if anyone can spare a plug. There are also a few other things I could do as a last resort, but I hope to avoid doing them. We shall see if this idea works or not, but I have my fingers crossed because I really don't want to see this icontest die.
