Money issues aside, at least it shows your current employer that you *are* good enough to be wanted elsewhere, and it must surely have boosted your ego to have been offered the position.
Speaking as someone who is hoping to be interviewed for a job that will pay £5K *less*, it ain't everything as I'm sure you are aware...............

Er, travelling mostly I guess. I'm *not* a morning person at all and I'll have to go to bed at 10 to get up for 6 (I'm like that unfortunately, and even on 8 hours sleep I still feel like it isn't enough). I stopped working in London because it was stressful, and I always thought if I did it again it would really have to be financially rewarding. I don't think the salary will be much more than what I'm getting now, when you take the travel expenses out of the equation.
