Why can't you stay in the house you are in? or do you want to move anyway? I thought there was something along the lines of if you are a tenant and the owner sells the house you have the right to stay at least until the end of your contract....or is that the problem..no contract?

we don't want to move, and we have a rolling 1 year tenancy agreement wit the letting agent. Our current contract is up in September, but we asked to have a get out clause put in in case we decided we wanted to move or buy somewhere. Unfortunately our landlord has used that to our disadvantage. :( Still, if we hadn't got that clause we probably would have had to move in September, and that would have been a lot more difficult for us to find somewhere to live than it would do now (start of uni term etc).

It'll be a bit of a pain, but everything will work out ok.

Does that mean the cats get to see real life?
That'd be nice for them...

An hour to work isn't too bad - I've known people do worse, like you said, you can use the time productively...

tell me about it! when I was driving an hour and a half each way I could do nothing but listen to the radio and CDs ... hardly productive at all.

it was a bit galling, wasting 3 hours a day (more if busy), but you get used to it.
