You don't want more friends really. It will just mean you'll have more to read and most livejournals are very boring indeed. Whoops, did I write that out loud?
It's actually really easy to get friends you just comment on their journals and say "be my friend" or "i love you" or something like that. I haven't tried it, but i've seen it happen. It's how it works.

I'm very bored at the moment so sadly reading other people's live journals interests me, perhaps more than is healthy:-s I'm a big voyeur! A big, sick, voyeur! Yay!

Really need to get out more...but, meh, lack of money - 'tis une petite probleme.

Thanks for the advice! However I'm not sure that it'll work in my case since:

1) I'm uncomfortable with the concept of telling people who i don't really know that I love them unless I'm being paid...

and

2) Saying "be my friend" brings back horrible rejection flashbacks from my primary scool days!
