My mom just let the world come crashing down on me.....

She knows that I've wanted to be an exchange student in South Korea for a while now. She just told me that I can't. We don't have the money. She told me before that we'd somehow raise the money, get people to sponsor me, ask for donations, ask family members to help us raise money... The only ( Read more... )

If you really want to go YOU WILL FIND A WAY!

trying looking into some scholarship programs. Talk to your school guidance people maybe they have some ideas.

Start a money jar label it "south Korea" and fill it whenever you have money!

U CAN DO IT

Aww I'm sorry bb <3
But don't worry so much! All of the people I know who went on exchanges for a year dropped early because academically it's craaaazy.
Besides baby, why rely on your parents? You're young! You have plenty of time to save money so that you can go for maybe a semester, or just a summer six week program <333 Besides that, trust me when I say 1500 is not enough in spending money. I spent that much in seven weeks, and really should have had more so I'm aiming for 2000 this summer alone.

FIGHTING! <3

it's only 500 spending money really... just 1000 for the plane tickets.... plus, the 500 is just my emergency funds really... I know it'll be crazy but I've already perpared myself, 2 years in advance!! : / I have to rely on my parents because I don't have a job, a permit, or anyway to get money.,.. I've tried to get a job no one will hire me, plus i wouldnt be able to get there. no one would hire me for a babysitter either.... : / ugh...
