Did you claim your commute miles??? I didn't know you could do that!!!!!! (well... my commute to M&A is like 5 miles but...) Taxes do suck, especially when you are "self employed." Ughhh... bend over and wait for it... it's going to hurt. :-(

Are you still teaching? I haven't read anything about it for a while.

Good to hear about the grad school stuff. I am with you - being in the inbetween decision making time sucks... you will feel so great once the decision is made though!

To answer your questions: Yes, you can claim mileage. I'm not sure where it goes on the return, but I talked to other teachers and they were talking about calculating their total mileage for taxes. I didn't do my taxes myself and so that relieved the stress of it, and the amount I owed, by a lot.

And yes, I'm still teaching. I teach 3 days a week and have 21 students right now. I'm still enjoying it (and I still dress up most of the time, hehe) but Fridays are always hard. I feel burned out by then from Monday-Thursday, and I never feel like working. Everyone is always going out on Fridays and I go home right after work and have to go to bed since Saturday is the early teaching day. At least I can still go out on Saturdays since I don't have to teach Sunday until 12.
