I threw a glance to this article and I thought that was Japanese! There are kanji there, right? Though I couldn't identify a number of them...

ahhhh, its becoz originally kanji was used by jap people before too communicate with their merchants, i think.... and that's why we see chinese characters in their alphabet???

That's right, japanese kanji came from chinese hieroglyphs long long ago. But I thought they had changed much more since then )) And that was what confused me.

No problem :) I'm fluent in Chinese, and it amuses me what a hash translation programs make of anything. (Ever played the game where you take something, translate it to another language, and translate it back?) This Google Translate thing is somewhat better than Babelfish, at least... which isn't saying much.
