Obviously had an interesting night of it.

Our tree in Ely has notices telling us that "this tree is protected by CCTV". Which is nice.

Those artifical, rigidly conical jobs are becoming more popular, and look rather nice - there's a good one in hays galleria, which I have passed a couple of times.

I saw that one last week, on an evening out with the lovely dakeyras. I love that metal boat thing in the middle too.

Our local tree is sponsored by the local car repair place and has crash barriers around it, as you can see. Though whether this is to keep the scrotes away from the tree, or stop the tree attacking passers by is not clear. The nearby xmas lights are sponsored by a local estate agents that I'll bet don't exist by next March.

Which is misleading - because CCTV doesn't actually protect anything. All it does is provide evidence to catch someone after having done the bad deed.
