Hey!

That used to happen to me all the time. Here's the best way to deal with it. Massage the muscle (it will hurt a lot) and slowly straighten your leg and point your toe (THIS WILL BE EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL!! but trust me). When the pain gets to be too much return your foot to a relaxed position and try to point your toe again (this time trying to get it further than the last time). All the while continue massaging the knot in your calf muscle. Try to point your foot further each time and pick up the speed. It takes a while to get the muscle to relax, but it does work. I used to get them really bad and it would affect my ability to walk for days, but Mom told me to do that exercise. Now when it happens I can get rid of the knot in just a few minutes and there is only a little soreness the next day.

Mom says that a potassium deficiency causes the problem. I also found that it happens more often when I am dehydrated. Eat a banana and drink lots of water. :)

oh, yeah. I was referring to the calf problem. Not the bad turkey problem. I don't know what would help with that.
